WESTPORT, MA-The Fall River Independent Baseball League Cubs team is having a Food and Comedy fundraiser. The event will take place on Friday night April 2nd at the VFW Hall, 843 State Road (Rte 6) in Westport. The doors will open at 6:30pm on this 18+ event. Dinner will begin around 7pm with a comedy show starting around 8:30pm. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and other suprises.
Tickets for this fun filled event is just $25 which all the proceeds going to the Cubs, to help defray the costs for the 2010 season. Tickets can be purchased from Cubs co-manager J.R. For the 2010 season the FRIBL has decided to form a committee whos primary responsibility will be planning, scheduling, and organizing events such as an All Star Game, homerun derby, field day, and any other ideas anyone may present to them. This will be a 3 person committee who will also be responsible for promoting these events") along with Allen Perreault. The more promotion the better especially if its charitable. STAT CREW SOFTWARE IS THE NEW STAT PROGRAM FOR THE FRIBL
Stat Crew Software, one of the leading statistics program in the country, is now being used by the FRIBL. The program will be used for all statistical reports for the league.
Introduced in 1992, The Automated ScoreBook For Baseball/Softball is now used by over 2000 teams at all levels of baseball and softball - recreational teams, high schools, colleges, minor league teams and various organizations. The software is also used to compile tournament statistics for The American Legion World Series, The NCAA College World Series, The NAIA Championships and a host of other regional and national tournaments. BLUE JAYS HAVING 2ND ANNUAL RAFFLE
FALL RIVER-Blue Jays manager Adam Camacho has announced details about their upcoming fundraising raffle. The Blue Jays are conducting their 2nd Annual Fundraisng raffle. It will begin on January 15th and conclude with the live drawing taking place on April 3rd at Inside The Park batting cages (Plymouth Avenue) in Fall River.

Members from other Independent Leagues will also be on hand to sign players to a professional contract. The tryouts will take place on May 1st and 2nd at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton.
